  2. while i agree that soy is over-rated, i am not sure what to make of this statement:

    "In some people, consumption of soy foods will lower cholesterol, but there is no evidence that lowering cholesterol improves one's risk of having heart disease."

    high cholesterol is conclusively linked to heart disease.

    this article (look at the protein section) does say that soy is an inferior protein.
