Woo Hoo!
August 25, 2010 | 8 Comments
Guess who’s on the cover of the August 2010 Issue of Kettlebell Inc Magazine.
That’s our trainer Jim. He makes us slog to within an inch of our breaths each week, but that’s what you get when you train with the best. If you’re into kettlebell training, check out his article in there called “4-Week Kettlebell Press and Swing Program“.
Jim’s also a third degree black belt in Taekwondo. Watch him combine kettlebell and Taekwondo training in the video posted HERE.
There’s also a fantastic recipe in that issue for “Grain-free Guilt-free Chocolate Cake”.

Woo-Hoo and a double Hoo! I have heard of kettle bells ( from u and also a TV commercial) and I am thinking of getting one from Amazon.
Bee, can u advise me if this can be done at home with a trainer DVD alone?
no. get a couple of sessions from a professional. your gym may have one. you can hurt yourself if you don’t know what you’re doing. kettlebells are not like dumbells or other weights. you need to get used to them with a coach.
Thank U Bee. As always, u have been a great help.
Thank you so much for passing this on.
Jai and Bee are both a couple of my superstars here.
Oh, and cucumber chips soaked in vinegar is one of my favorite snacks.
Hey!
I’m one of your lurker readers and I actually had a question I had hoped you could answer. I’m trying a Julie & Julia only its Nita and Ammini Ramachandran. I see that you’ve worked a lot of her recipes.
Ok coming to the question, do you guys follow her recipes accurately? The thing is I had made sambar and rasam for Onam and unfortunately while my friends thot they were tasty, they also thot that they were pullikuzhammbu and sambar respectively. I did eyeball most of the measurements so just wondering if that’s the problem. Any ideas folks?
Thanks!
wrong post. this one’s about kettlebells. that said, i don’t know about the eyeballing bit. i do reduce her coconut measurement by half in most recipes. other than that the recipes rock.
Hi! As I said.. read a lot.. almost all your posts and then some.. but don’t blog much so thot it safest to write on the most recent post
…shall try and make it more post-appropriate hence forth…thanks for the info.. kind of did the same with the coconut and stuff.. oh well guess my friends aren’t very well acquainted with the real stuff
!! really enjoy your blog… look fwd to your post every evening..
no problem. we can see the latest comments, no matter which post they are attached to. just so you know.
