Today was our personal training sesson with Jim.

Saturdays, my training partner is J. On weekdays, it’s Delta the Pest Incarnate.

Why do you need such big keychains? They look stupid.

Here’s my trainer Jim (who is also a third degree Black Belt in Taekwondo) demonstrating a Taekwondo form followed by snatches with a 24 kg (53 lb) kettlebell.

Day 8 of 20 of the Eat to Live vegan detox plan.

MENU

July 17 (Day Eight)
Breakfast:
6 oz coconut water
1 fruit and nut Lara Bar

Mid-morning:
1 cup Tomato-Mushroom Biryani
10 oz. protein shake with pea and rice protein, mango and strawberries

Lunch:
1 cup Tomato and Mushroom Biryani.
half cup Eggplant and Peas Curry

Mid-afternoon:
Black tea with almond milk
a handful of baked masala peanuts (oil-free)

Dinner:
16 oz. protein shake with pea and rice protein, flax powder, strawberries, orange, plum, pumpkin, carrot, kiwi, bok choy.
half cup roasted potato.

EXERCISE

40 mins kettlebells and cardio

    Cr*p! Is THAT what you do with those kettlebells? I’d end up with smashed toes or a knocked noggin for certain if I tried to hoist anything heavy. Color me totally impressed.

    It was fun to see you a la the LookingGlass this way. Delta is growing up to be quite the companion, clearly. Obviously she’d be happier if you were playing with something that would skitter across the floor for her to chase and subdue but I am guessing she is fascinated by your motions (especially the ends of your belt as it swings).
