CLICK is a monthly food photography event. It is a theme-based contest. You do not need a blog to participate. Each month, entries will be invited based on a culinary ingredient or concept. More about it HERE.

anseladamsquote

Once upon a time there was a piece of wood. It was not an expensive piece of wood. Far from it. Just a common block of firewood, one of those thick, solid logs that are put on the fire in winter to make cold rooms cozy and warm. ~ Carlo Collodi

Wood isn’t important in itself but rather in the fact that objects made in it are unique, simple, unpretentious. ~ Georg Baselitz

WOOD n.

The fibrous material which makes up the greater part of the stems and branches of trees and shrubby plants, and is found to a less extent in herbaceous stems; the xylem.

CLICK Wood. Highlight it in any culinary setting, and send it to us before March 30, 2009.

Containers, rolling pins, cutting boards, gadgets, moulds,

kitchen utensils, chopsticks, skewers, mats,

wicker, cane, bamboo,

even paper and raffia.

Whatever you portray must have a CLEAR CULINARY ASSOCIATION.

DEADLINE: the 30th of March, 2009, midnight, Eastern Standard Time.

FIVE GUARANTEED WAYS TO PISS THEM OFF

1. Make them wonder how your picture is related to the theme.

2. Stitch two or three pics together to make a diptych or triptych.

3. Have them use their imagination to excavate your picture from beneath a copyright notice smack in the centre.

4. Distract them with datelines and text in huge font that says “STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE WITH MASCARPONE AND SEVENTEEN OTHER THINGS”.

5. Distract them some more with big, colourful borders that compete with the pic for attention.

At home wooddn articles are extensively used in the kitchen but they were all worn out and will not look good in my basic digital camera and through my un-artistic eyes Hence this below click goes to CLICK Wood.
