Orange Glow
August 10, 2008 | 30 Comments

Orange is red brought nearer to humanity by yellow. – Kandinsky
There was just one light source at the back. The idea was to have a slice that was thick enough to rest on the orange, but thin enough to let the light through, and have some of the front of the orange visible. The darn slice kept falling off and started shrivelling up in the heat. Not fun.

Maybe a toothpick would have been of some assistance! Great shot!
Super Glue?
In other ‘orange’ news, did you hear about the collapse of the Wall Arch? We were lucky to have seen it in June.
that’s sad. i wish superglue would work on those arches.
Quite a balancing act…great shot
Lovely shot! Me too experimenting orange with candle light but it was not so good! Will post about it soon. Bee, this Citrus CLICK is driving me crazy
However you managed it, it sure looks interesting.
Wow! Am just drooling at the pic..imagination gurus
Nice click….How you managed to make that slice stay put is beyond me….
Off-grey and orange- real real perty.
Looks very pretty Bee
The photograph is amazing…how did you get the slice to stay put??!!?? Amazing!!!

great foto …really i hav the same doubt as that of meera…u rock!
Now thats a amazing capture….i can’t say any more, coz i simply had exhausted my lexicon in praising u guys !
fevicol perhaps? and then you could have modified that famous line – yeh fevicol ka jod hai, girega nahi!
That’s a lovely shot.
I can see Bee battling with the slice… U ve tons of patience. May be little triming to the slice, would ve worked? The light passing through is just amazing!
Beautiful photography
Thats the reason you should see RR’s show. She gives tips to make the orange stand
. Cut a small piece at the bottom of the orange to make it stand
).
and how does she make a slice stand on an orange without appearing cut in a picture?
This is a fantastic shot!
Wow…some patience to get it to balance…
May be I missed that episode in which she mentioned that
.
Btw..I love the picture…too good.
Awesome picture. A great balancing act.
That is just too cool! I envy your photo skills
Mast hai! Very cool picture.
Excellent picture. The orange glow is stunning.
nice one
Fantastic shot and great concept. I am, as usual, in awe
Just amazing…. u rock Bee!
Beautiful shot!
I think a toothpick would have helped too…a tooth pick cut in half and inserted very slightly.
but it sure has come out looking good! I HAVE to send in my entry this time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thinking!
