we don’t have any shade in our yard – back or front. it’s all full blazing sun.
cant tell from the picture, but did you use a fill in flash on the top picture? perhaps not(if the sequence is any guide). Numbers 2 and 4 are gorgeous!

i had a good crop of irises too, but the stalks with the gorgeous blooms were always bent with the weight of the multiple flowers on the stem. how did you get the stalks to be so straight? i think your irises are flower show material.
the stalks are very thick. ours didn’t bend at all. what colour are your blooms?
