Maple Tree

“The one had leaves of dark green that beneath were as shining silver, and from each of his countless flowers a dew of silver light was ever falling, and the earth beneath was dappled with the shadows of his fluttering leaves. - J.R.R. Tolkein”

This year’s? Wow. My maples are just budding but they always bud last cos they are very young. And we have about two inches of snow and it hasn’t stopped coming down since morning. My other trees are bending over cos they have leaves and blossoms. Fun, I tell you. So glad I did not plant anything this past weekend.

last year’s. last night we had frost. - b.
