anseladamsquote

“Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own; and from morning to night, as from the cradle to the grave, it is but a succession of changes so gentle and easy that we can scarcely mark their progress.” ~ Charles Dickens

It’s spring in the northern hemishpere, autumn in the southern. This month we celebrate the abundance and elegance in the produce aisle and farmers’ markets.

AU NATUREL = No Cooking. Just Clicking.

Food in it’s natural state, as it comes from the farm, forest, pasture or the sea.

** Raw, Uncooked
** Not processed or refined
** Not finished, covered, or coated
** Not having been subjected to adjustment, treatment, or analysis

Fruits, veggies, herbs, edible flowers, spices, nuts, eggs …

Only milk is acceptable in the dairy category. No butter, cheese or other by-products, please.

Meat, poultry or seafood must be DEAD. A picture of a cows grazing is not acceptable.

If the picture features a recipe, the raw ingredient must be prominently visible.

CLICK Au Naturel. Highlight culinary ingredients in their natural form in any setting, and send it to us before April 30, 2008.

The rules for participation and ENTRY FORM are HERE.

All entries to this particular theme should be linked to THIS post.

DEADLINE: the 30th of April, midnight, Eastern Standard Time.

The entries will be posted as they arrive. They can be accessed HERE or through the ‘CLICK‘ icon on the right sidebar.

Along with the link to the event announcement, please feel free to use one of these logos.

(White Background)

Andrew of Spittoon Extra

Briana of Figs with Bri

Cynic - Nature photographer with a passion for birds (of the feathered variety).

Jennie of Straight from the Farm (Winner of CLICK: February 2008)

VegeYum of A Life (Time) of Cooking

** A new theme will be announced around the first of each month.

** A panel of judges will score the entries. Winners will be announced in four categories:

(The Best Capture - Three winners)

(The Most Original)

(The Most Drool-worthy)

(The Most Popular)

After the deadline for the event, judging will take place. Around the 5th, the top 25 entries in SPECTRA will be announced. Readers get to choose three of their favourites. The votes will be aggregated to announce the winners.

Results in all categories will be announced on or before the 10th of the month.

Winners in all the categories get badges to display on their sites. The first place winner of CLICK Spectra will be invited to judge in the next event.

If you are a blogger, your picture must be part of a post that links to the CLICK event.

If you send us an entry with more than one picture, or multiple entries, we will use the first one.

If you have multiple pictures in your post: Please specify which one your entry is. If you place it at the top of your post, even better. It makes it a LOT easier for the judges.

Do you have a picture already posted on your blog?: We will accept already posted pictures if you create a NEW POST. Put the picture you wish to submit, along with a link to where it appeared before, and a link to the CLICK event.

RECOMMENDED, but not mandatory:
**A couple of lines discussing the picture - the location, the circumstances, why you like it, etc.
**The type of lenses used (if using an SLR) or lenses attached to a non-SLR, if any.

(By taking part in this event, participants accept that the pictures submitted to Jugalbandi.info have been taken by them, and do not infringe upon the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, of any third party. If challenged, the responsibility to prove the ownership of the picture, as well as all attendant liabilities rest with the participant.

Pictures that have pornographic content or are not family friendly will not be accepted.)

Thank you for your support and participation.

Darn! Here I was planning to take a picture of fish in the aquarium :D and you outright disqualify “Meat, poultry or seafood must be DEAD. A picture of a cows grazing is not acceptable.”

devious minds think alike. i knew someone would come up with that concept. someone who likes mints. - b.

    Flowers?

 I hope this isn’t one of the dumb questions you get; but clams, for instance, must be alive, but uncooked would be their au natural state, correct? If it is a dumb question, I’ll look forward to seeing it in one of your posts.

    Lynne

no clams allowed, then. - b.
