anseladamsquote

“An average of two rodent hairs per one hundred grams of peanut butter is allowed.” - from U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines.

What’s hiding in your peanut butter? And baklava? And coconut cookies?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you’ll crack the The Dirty Mind Test, but we’re looking for

NUT noun. [Middle English nute, from Old English hnutu.]

An indehiscent, hard-shelled, one-loculated, one-seeded fruit, such as an acorn or hazelnut.
A seed borne within a fruit having a hard shell, as in the peanut, almond, or walnut.
The kernel of any of these.

Something of this nature.

If it’s a recipe, nuts must be the STAR ingredient.

Seeds, like pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds will be accepted, but nuts are more photogenic. Really.

Walnuts, almonds, pistachios, coconuts, peanuts, macadamia nuts …

Show us your favourite nut/s. The folks in Missouri are eager to see them as well.

CLICK Nuts, cooked or uncooked, and send it to us before December 30, 2007.

Note the extended deadline for this edition.

RULES for participation HERE. All entries to this particular theme should be linked to THIS post.

Categories for judging HERE.

DEADLINE: the 30th of December, midnight, Pacific Standard Time
