Race for a Cure

October 7, 2007 | 54 Comments

Jai completed a marathon this morning. It was his second. (The first was six years ago).

He completed the 26 miles 385 yards (42.2 km) in 4 hours and 13 minutes.

He ran this race to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and to raise money for the cure of blood cancers (leukemia, lymphoma and mylenoma).

On the right is the Team In Training coach Mike who joined him towards the end to egg him on.

Jai participated in the race in memory of his dear friend Hari, who lost his battle against leukemia last year, and in honour of those fighting against the disease.

He had originally planned to run in May, but had to postpone it because of injuries to his hand and shoulder a few days before the event.

We wish to thank friends and family who contributed to the cause.

That’s awesome! I finished my first marathon the same day and was just thinking that the next one is going to be a fundraiser. The TnT runners are such an inspiration to watch!

    Go Jai!
