Well folks, as you can imagine..I had nothing to do with this post ! Pel, where are you? This is war. I need all the reinforcements –Jai

  2. Anita says:

That was very interesting – boys will be boys, indeed!

But exceptions, such as you, Jai, only prove the rule. ;-)

  3. Laavanya says:

This article is too good! :) Thanks Bee. I had so much fun reading it. My husband tried to explain saying that Abel was demonstrating ‘street-smarts’ – a plausible excuse. Jai, I don’t think reinforcements can help you this time.

  4. Suganya says:

Haha! I am gonna closely watch the comment section of this post ;)

  5. Priya says:

haha..that was a interesting story Bee…can’t wait to show all my friends this and pull their leg !! And yup, I’m going to give Suganya company in watching the comments section :) Jai..hurry up with the reinforcements…you are getting outnumbered already :D

  6. Susan says:

Way to go, Betty! But in fairness to other males of the species, I think more than one couple has to be scientifically observed before we can stereotype them all as lazy. Abel may just be a bad seed, a clever, thieving magpie. ; )

  7. Jyothsna says:

Hahaha…. I’ve sent this link to my friends and started a war..! But Jai, we women folk are gracious beings. We have long understood men are like that only ;)

  8. Bee – good one!

Betty – you rock girlfriend! Well, Abel.. you are sure proving the typical stereotypes aren’t you?

Jai – hang in there. I will be fixing you a nice lychee cocktail to help you through this trauma. :)

You know what? I really love the two female characters in Death Becomes Her played by Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn…and then there are the several parts played by Glenn Close such as in the films Fatal Attraction, Dangerous Liasons, and 101 Dalmations…and let’s not forget Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct! Now, my knowledge of Desi film is scant, other than watching the video clips for The Bidi Song and Kajra re, but I’m sure that, within that opus, all the women are sweet, honest and nice and the men shifty and ruthless… :-D

way to go Pel. that should render them inarticulate! –Jai

surely, my dear pel, you understand the difference between fictional characters in hollywood and bollywood 8O created by MALE scriptwriters, and empirical evidence from the REAL world ??

j, have you EVER been able to render me inarticulate?

That was a good post about men and women, and I think it’s a debatable topic. Who cares Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. When it comes to the life of normal human being, every men and women with self-introspection can speak for themselves how each one is. But if you ask me I truely agree men are distant, unapproachable, shifty as someone said above and unreliable. Now that’s my personal opinion.
Women are more mature, poised, suave and savvy about almost everything.
    Cheers to all women
No offense to Men (Jai are you listening?)

  16. Manasi says:

    Brilliant Betty! u go girl!!!

Excellent discovery! Thanks Bee for sharing it! Its not surprise when we map this behaviour with human beings as being in India I am seeing several famailies like this. All the hardships of womenhood are easily stolen by men at all levels and status here. But I see Indian women are more modest to admit these behaviors ;)

  19. Linda says:

    Fascinating… that’s a keeper :)

  20. pelicano says:

Oh…you want real stuff for evidence?! :-D Alrighty then…I’ve met both women and men who were maliciously-crafty and underhanded, and also some who were honest and forthright. And then there are many who don’t intend to be cruel, but have a hard time seeing beyond themselves. Though I generally tend to give all people the “benefit of the doubt” at first, I’m glad to say that in my old age ;-) I tolerate less abuse. And, in the words of Martha Stewart, that’s a good thing!

you quote martha stewart? **shudder** – b.

  21. Kanchana says:

    Thanks got it. very interesting!
