We love Faux News. They go where no other network has gone before. They are the last bastion that shields America from terrorists, liberals, pro-choicers, and gays.

They’re busy out there, so we’ll try and highlight some of the stuff they don’t have the time to talk about. Don’t get us wrong. We love O’Reilly and his bobbleheads. This is just minor stuff.

– The clamour for Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez to step down is growing.

A report says, “nearly 80% of all federal investigations undertaken by the Bush Department of Justice and targeting elected officials or candidates were aimed at Democrats, with under 18% targeting Republicans.”

– The administration’s semantic squibble about whether what’s going on Iraq is plain petulance, insurgency, or a ‘civil war’.

– Cheney’s hysteria on Iraq.

– The indictment of his right hand man in a case investigating the misleading of the American people about WMDs in Iraq. The spotlight of the investigation will now move to Cheney and his boss, the president.

Let us not be distracted by these events, or by the strange claim by NBC’s Andrea Mitchell that “18 is greater than 69“.

We understand. Desperate times call for desperate measures, especially if you are a Republican spin doctor.

Forget Cheney, his minions, and Iraq. There’s a more important war taking place. On American soil. It was a sordid secret until Faux News brought it to light. For that, we are eternally grateful. It’s the War on Easter.

Some treasonous liberals in Walnut Creek, California have declared war on America and its Christians by renaming its annual egg hunt the “Spring Egg Hunt“.

Even more newsworthy is Rush Limbaugh’s recent change of heart. Displaying an uncharacteristic concern for liberals, he asked:

“How many of these 45 million children who have been aborted would be Democrats, would be the offspring of Democrats? And as such, how many of them would have jobs? As such, how many of them would even think of joining the military?” He then said, “I know there are some Republican liberal babes in there that [have] gone out and had abortions, too, but the vast majority of them are liberals,” adding, “This way, if you look at the demographics of the future, you could say liberals are aborting themselves out of the majority, if current trends hold.”

Very kind of you, Rush, to think of the survival of our species, and all. For now, let’s all focus on the war. The War on Easter, that is.
