and you will be seeing them soon.

Yesterday we received a card from England from our dear friend Sirirat, saying,
“There’s no special reason for sending you this card - just want you to let you know I’m thinking of you and that I want to wish you well-being and happiness.”

We are fortunate to know some very special people, and she’s one of them.

Since we started blogging just a month and half ago, we have met and made friends with many creative and generous souls. Some of them have agreed to send us postcards from their countries - a little glimpse of life in their part of the world. We will be sharing them with you. Many of those pieces have been written especially for us. Some have already been published in their blogs, and will be reproduced here with their permission.

We have a collection of postcards from the places we’ve visited.

Here’s one J brought back from Thailand.

The initial posts in this edition will be from the nations participating in the World Cup cricket series, being held in the West Indies. Watch this space on Wednesday for A Postcard From ….., well, it’s a beautiful country, and it’s going strong in the World Cup - unlike Pakistan which is out, and India, which has one foot out of the door.

Meanwhile, check out Sailu’s Ugadi postcard, and her little sojourn to Mexico, from her kitchen in Visakhapatnam, India. Our jaws are sore from repeatedly picking them off the floor.

That’s an absolutely beautiful postcard! Oh, I just love it. The two of you are truly blessed to be loved so much.:).

That postcard reminds me of Mae’s (of riceandnoodles fame) pictures of Thailand during her recent holiday. You should have a look at her pictures too, Jai and Bee.

Beautiful!!! Green mangoes in woven baskets brings me back some memories…. Instead of floating on boats, women used to perfectly balance these baskets on their heads back home in Kerala…

Did you shop here? It must be a mind-blowing experience! All that fresh produce! Does the woman in the middle have to jostle to the edge to get to her customer or are the others polite enough to either make way for her or pass the goods along?

    Wow!

our spam folder loves you. j bought this postcard from a store. didn’t witness the action. - bee

But see how persistent I am? You can’t get rid of me that easily :D

I think it’s worth a trip just to witness the action. Hopefully in this lifetime for me.
