Strawberry-Banana Sorbet

February 19, 2007 |

You’ve had a tough workout at the gym. You need something sweet and sexy. Guilt-free would be nice.

What’s in the freezer? Frozen strawberries, and an overripe banana that’s been languishing there for a while.

Out they come. Fifteen seconds in the microwave on high for the banana. Twenty for the berries. The banana gets peeled, broken into thirds, and tossed it with the berries and a tsp. of lemon juice into the blender. Twenty seconds of 500 watt action, and you’re home.

Scoop it into dark chocolate shells.

Sending it over to Maheswari’s Strawberry Event at ‘Beyond the Usual’.

Another yummy treat from you guys. Your pictures looks awesome.

Bee, Have you tried making chocolate shells with balloons? Take small balloons and dip half of it in the chocolate. Spread it on the tray and then put them in freezer. Once the shells are hard prick the balloon from the top and let the air out slowly. Your chocolate shell for any dessert is ready:)
