Cilantro-Mint Chutney
February 12, 2007 | 3 Comments
Every Indian home has its version of cilantro (coriander) and mint chutney.
It’s great with all sorts of snacks. This is J’s version.
RECIPE
Ingredients
1 cup packed coriander leaves
½ cup packed mint leaves
1.5 tbsp lime juice
3 green chillies
1/4 tsp. cumin
½ inch piece ginger
¼ cup dalia (or roasted peanuts)
salt
Method
Blend everything in a food processor to a smooth paste.
Variations: Add 2 tbsps. chopped onion and/or 2 tbsps. unsweetened dessicated coconut. In summer, during mango season, we replace the lime with a piece of green mango.
